Roofs were torn off, walls were damaged, and household belongings were destroyed after the extreme winds swept through the area in a matter of moments.
The on-site inspection was carried out to accelerate data collection and ensure that assistance is delivered accurately and efficiently.
Relief Assistance Delivered to Residents
The Labuhanbatu Selatan government has begun distributing construction materials to support the reconstruction of damaged homes. The initiative aims to help affected families return to normal life as quickly as possible.

One of the residents, Patek Muhammad Siregar, expressed deep gratitude for the support received.

He also warned of increasing extreme weather patterns linked to climate change and urged communities to remain vigilant, noting that Kotapinang is an area prone to hydrometeorological disasters.
Coordinated efforts between regional agencies have been intensified to speed up aid distribution and improve recovery planning.
