The disruptions occurred after Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (HLP), and Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung (BDO) temporarily suspended flight operations until 6 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB).
Manager of Corporate Affairs at PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, Mohamad Hikmat Hidayat, said the temporary closure of several airports had a direct impact on flight connections between Kualanamu International Airport and Jakarta and Bandung.
According to preliminary data recorded as of 1:55 p.m. WIB, a total of 49 flights had been canceled. The affected services included routes KNO–CGK and CGK–KNO, KNO–HLP and HLP–KNO, as well as KNO–BDO and BDO–KNO.
"The data on the affected flights is preliminary and may change depending on further developments in the aviation operational situation and decisions made by the respective airlines," Hikmat Hidayat said in an official statement on Monday, September 7, 2026.
49 Flights From Kualanamu Affected
Hikmat Hidayat said flight operations at Kualanamu International Airport remained normal as of Monday afternoon despite the cancellation of several flights.
