By the end of June 2026, the total dry bulk cargo volume handled by Pelindo Multi Terminal Branch Belawan reached 2.95 million tons. This figure represents an increase of approximately 7.66 percent compared with the same period last year, when the recorded volume stood at 2.74 million tons.
The improved performance highlights the strategic role of Belawan Port in supporting the smooth distribution of various key commodities, particularly those related to the food and animal feed sectors, industrial raw materials, and the energy industry.
Handling of Key Strategic Commodities
During the first half of 2026, Belawan Port handled various major dry bulk commodities, including food and feed products, soybean meal, cement, and coal. The loading and unloading activities of these commodity groups became one of the main contributors to the increase in service volume within the non-container terminal sector.
In addition to cargo volume growth, Pelindo Multi Terminal Branch Belawan also recorded dry bulk cargo handling productivity of 3,517 tons per vessel per day.
This achievement was supported by the optimization of operational processes, maximum utilization of port facilities, and continuous coordination with service users and relevant stakeholders.

Pelindo Multi Terminal Belawan Branch Manager Khoiruddin Lubis stated that the increase in dry bulk cargo volume has encouraged the company to continue improving the quality of its operational services.
