ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM – A solemn and emotional atmosphere filled the parade ground of the Aceh Tengah Police (Polres Aceh Tengah) on Tuesday (June 2, 2026), as the institution held a formal farewell ceremony for AKP Radius Sianturi, S.H., marking his retirement after 36 years of dedicated service in the Indonesian National Police (Polri). He officially entered retirement on June 1, 2026.
The retirement ceremony began at 08.00 WIB at the Polres Aceh Tengah headquarters parade field. The event was led by Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., and attended by senior officers, unit commanders, members of Bhayangkari, and all Polres Aceh Tengah personnel.
AKP Saudin Situmorang, S.Pd. served as the ceremony officer, while IPDA Sunarto acted as the parade commander. The proceedings were conducted in a dignified and structured manner, beginning with a formal troop salute followed by an emotional farewell moment for AKP Radius Sianturi and his wife.

"Service Does Not End, It Transforms"
In his remarks, Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq emphasized that retirement traditions represent institutional appreciation for long-term dedication and loyalty.
"Retirement is not the end of service, but the beginning of a new form of contribution to society. We express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to AKP Radius Sianturi for his dedication, loyalty, and commitment during his 36 years of service in Polri, especially at Polres Aceh Tengah," he stated.

Emotional Farewell and Heartfelt Gratitude
In his farewell speech, AKP Radius Sianturi expressed his gratitude to the police leadership and all colleagues for their long-standing cooperation and support throughout his career.
He also extended his apologies for any mistakes made during his years of service.
"I sincerely thank you for the cooperation and trust. I also apologize for any mistakes I may have made during my service. I hope the friendships we have built will continue in the future," he said emotionally.
Token of Appreciation and Final Farewell
Following the ceremony, the Aceh Tengah Police Chief and the Bhayangkari organization presented a commemorative gift (cenderamata) as a symbol of appreciation for his decades of service. The event concluded with warm handshakes, prayers, and emotional farewells from all attendees.
