BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM – Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah has demonstrated his commitment to supporting the Acehnese diaspora by facilitating the repatriation of the body of Fatimah Zahra, a resident of Gampong Tufah Jeulatang, Glumpang Tiga Subdistrict, Pidie Regency. The deceased passed away in Malaysia on May 28, 2026.

Malaysia to ensure the smooth return of the deceased to her hometown.
Financial Support for Repatriation Costs
Deputy Governor Fadhlullah personally intervened to cover the funding gap in the repatriation process. The total cost reached approximately IDR 22 million, while the family was only able to contribute IDR 5 million.
To bridge the shortfall, Fadhlullah covered the remaining IDR 17 million, which included administrative expenses and cargo transportation from Malaysia to Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport in Aceh Besar.

Coordination with Diaspora in MalaysiaThe repatriation process was carried out efficiently through strong coordination between the Aceh provincial government and Aceh Bersatu Malaysia. This collaboration ensured that all administrative and logistical procedures were completed promptly, allowing the remains to arrive safely in Banda Aceh.
Final Journey Home to PidieThe Aceh Social Services Agency also provided an ambulance to transport the body from Banda Aceh to the family's hometown in Glumpang Tiga, Pidie Regency, where the burial was scheduled to take place.
