LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM - The Regent of Labuhanbatu Selatan, Fery Syahputra Simatupang, conducted a working visit to Janji Raja Hamlet in Hutagodang Village, Sungai Kanan District, on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The visit was marked by a warm and informal interaction with local residents, including a communal lunch without official protocol barriers.
Residents welcomed the Regent with enthusiasm, creating a friendly and intimate atmosphere throughout the visit. The community took the opportunity to share their hopes, aspirations, and suggestions regarding local development.
"I was grateful to have lunch together with the people of Janji Raja today. The atmosphere was simple, warm, and felt very close," said Fery Syahputra Simatupang.

Direct Dialogue with ResidentsFollowing the shared meal, the Regent continued his visit with an open dialogue session with residents. Various community issues and development priorities for Sungai Kanan District were discussed in a relaxed and constructive setting.

Emotional Moment with a Child Named After Leaders
The visit also featured a touching moment when the Regent met a 15-month-old child named "Fery Syahdian," a name inspired by both the Regent and Vice Regent Syahdian Purba Siboro.
"For me, this is not just a name. It is a prayer, a hope, and a reflection of the closeness between leaders and the community," the Regent said.
