Rapid technological advancement, shifting lifestyles, and the influence of global culture have significantly altered how younger generations perceive traditional practices.
"Tradition is not outdated, it is our identity. If we abandon it, we lose our roots," he stressed.
He warned that sacred ceremonies are increasingly being reduced to mere formalities, often performed without a deep understanding of their meaning. Without concrete preservation efforts, Repol cautioned that future generations may only know these traditions through stories.
As the leader of DPD IPK Labuhanbatu Selatan, he emphasized the organization's responsibility to actively safeguard cultural values, including mutual cooperation, respect for elders, and strong family ties.
