ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Indonesian National Police's (Polri) social commitment to serving the community was once again demonstrated through a direct assistance initiative carried out by the Polsek Kute Panang Police Station. Together with the District Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam), the Indonesian Military (TNI), village authorities, and local residents, personnel from Polsek Kute Panang conducted a joint cleanup operation following a house fire in Dedingin Village, Kute Panang Subdistrict, Aceh Tengah Regency, on Friday, July 10, 2026.

The humanitarian activity was carried out as an expression of concern and solidarity, while also aiming to ease the burden faced by the fire victims. The affected resident was Mika Satria Hidayani, 53, a farmer whose semi-permanent house was completely destroyed by fire on Thursday evening, July 9, 2026.

Police Provide Direct Assistance at the Scene

Personnel from Polsek Kute Panang, along with representatives from various community elements, immediately took part in the cleanup process by removing the burned remains of the structure. The presence of the police was not only aimed at maintaining security and public order but also at providing moral support to the victim in facing the difficult circumstances.

Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., through Polsek Kute Panang Chief IPTU Kamaruddinsyah, S.H., stated that the presence of Polri among the community reflects the institution's concern and continuous commitment to standing by residents in every situation.

"An incident like this is a shared sorrow. Therefore, we are here together with the government, TNI, and the community to help one another so the victim can recover quickly and return to daily activities. This is the spirit of mutual assistance that we must continue to preserve," the police chief said.

Joint Effort Eases the Burden of Fire Victims

The cleanup operation at the fire site began at 8:30 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB). Personnel from Polsek Kute Panang, Posramil members, government representatives, and local residents worked together to remove construction materials and burned debris.

Throughout the activity, a strong atmosphere of solidarity and cooperation was evident. Residents and emergency personnel helped one another in clearing the ruins of the house that had previously served as the family's residence. The activity reflected the strong social values and community spirit of the people of Aceh Tengah.

In addition to assisting with the cleanup, several institutions also provided further support to the victim. The Population and Civil Registration Agency (Disdukcapil) of Aceh Tengah Regency provided replacement documents, including a Family Card (KK) and Identity Card (KTP), which were damaged in the fire.

Additional assistance was also provided by Baitul Mal Aceh Tengah Regency, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and the Aceh Tengah Regency Social Affairs Office. These forms of support demonstrate the attention of the government and related institutions toward citizens affected by disasters.

Those who participated in the activity included the Kute Panang Subdistrict Head, the Polsek Kute Panang Chief, the Kute Panang Posmil Commander, the Mukim of Kute Panang, village heads from Dedingin and Wih Nongkal, personnel from Polsek and Posramil Kute Panang, as well as numerous local residents.

The collaboration among various parties shows that assisting disaster victims is not solely the responsibility of one institution but requires collective involvement from multiple stakeholders to accelerate the recovery process.

Polsek Kute Panang hopes that the spirit of mutual cooperation and social solidarity within the community will continue to be maintained. Through support from various elements of society, fire victims are expected to recover as soon as possible and resume their daily lives.

Polri as a Friend and Partner of the Community

The presence of Polri in society is not limited only to maintaining security and public order. Beyond that role, the police see themselves as partners and friends of the community who provide assistance, support, and encouragement when people face difficult situations.

Through social activities such as joint cleanup efforts after a fire, Polsek Kute Panang demonstrates its commitment to strengthening its relationship with residents and promoting values of care and unity across Aceh Tengah Regency. (IDNC)
