Confidence in Defending the Title
Asri Ludin reminded the contingent that
Deli Serdang enters the competition as the defending champion, a position that should be seen as an advantage rather than a burden. He urged participants to remain confident, focused, and free from psychological pressure.
"We must once again deliver a strong performance in 2026. Do not be afraid, focus on each category. You are the defending champion—do not let that become a mental burden," the Regent stated.
He also stressed that defending the title would be a significant challenge, but past experience should serve as a strong foundation for renewed success.
Officials Urged to Provide Optimal Support
The Regent also directed attention to the contingent officials, instructing them to ensure optimal support for the participants throughout the competition in Papua Barat. This includes maintaining both physical readiness and mental well-being during the entire event.
Preparation for Deli Serdang's 80th Anniversary
Asri Ludin further expressed hope that the Pesparawi team would deliver an outstanding performance as a special contribution to the 80th anniversary of
Deli Serdang Regency.
"I hope this team returns from Papua with a special gift for Deli Serdang's 80th anniversary. Stay healthy, stay motivated. You are not ordinary participants—you are ambassadors of our region and province," he said in closing.

Deli Serdang. The team consists of 30 women's choir members and 40 mixed adult choir participants.
The contingent will compete in two prestigious categories at the National Pesparawi XIV. The event will take place from June 18 to 28, 2026, and is divided into two sessions, with Deli Serdang participating in the second session.
According to Janso, all participants have undergone a rigorous selection and training process at both provincial and regional levels.
"We are bringing the best participants who have gone through selection and festival stages at the provincial level. We hope to achieve the best possible results and defend our success," he said.
Strong Optimism for Title Defense
At Pesparawi National XIII in 2022, Deli Serdang secured the national championship in the women's choir category. This achievement now serves as strong motivation for the team to once again deliver top performances.
The event was also attended by the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of
Deli Serdang Sarifuddin Daulay, Head of the Pesparawi Development Institution Janji Hamonangan Sinambela, Chairman of PGID
