The commemoration served as an opportunity to reaffirm the shared commitment of all state institutions to strengthening national unity, upholding the values of Pancasila, and preserving the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Acting Regional Secretary of North Sumatra Timur Tumanggor served as the ceremony's presiding officer. The event was also attended by heads of various regional agencies and organizational units (OPD), along with hundreds of civil servants (ASN) from the Provincial Government of North Sumatra.
All participants followed the ceremony in a disciplined and respectful manner. Each part of the program took place in a solemn atmosphere, honoring the history of the nation's struggle for independence while highlighting the importance of preserving Pancasila as the state ideology and foundation of the country.
This year's Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration carried the theme, "Pancasila as the Unifying Force of the Nation on the Path Toward a Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia." The theme underscores the importance of Pancasila as the foundation for national and state life, with unity, justice, and public welfare at its core.
Moment of Silence Honors Fallen Heroes
Although the ceremony was relatively brief, it placed particular emphasis on symbolic meaning and respect for the nation's history. The proceedings began with a moment of silence led by Timur Tumanggor in his capacity as the presiding officer.
All participants stood in solemn tribute to the revolutionary heroes who lost their lives defending the country's ideology and sovereignty. The moment also served as a reminder to younger generations of the importance of preserving the spirit of struggle, national unity, and commitment to the values of Pancasila.
Following the moment of silence, the presiding officer led the recitation of the Pancasila text. Officials appointed for the occasion then read the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution.
Participants followed each part of the ceremony attentively. The recitation of the state principles and the Constitution was intended to reaffirm the central role of Pancasila as the foundation of national and state life, while recognizing the 1945 Constitution as the constitutional basis for government administration.

Pledge Reaffirms Commitment to Upholding Pancasila Values
The highlight of the commemoration was the reading of the pledge, through which all elements of society and government once again affirmed their firm commitment to defending and implementing the values of Pancasila in everyday life.
The pledge also emphasized that Pancasila remains a vital source of strength in promoting social harmony, reinforcing national solidarity, and safeguarding the unity of the Republic of Indonesia amid the various challenges facing the nation and its government.
The values of Pancasila serve not only as guidelines for government action but also as the foundation for harmonious social relations within Indonesia's diverse society. Mutual assistance and solidarity, tolerance, unity, and social justice are among the fundamental principles that must be consistently put into practice in daily life.
For regional government employees, the commemoration also served as a reminder of the importance of applying Pancasila values when carrying out official duties and delivering public services. As part of the state administration, civil servants (ASN) are responsible for maintaining integrity, prioritizing the interests of the public, and treating all members of society equally and fairly, regardless of their backgrounds.
