BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM - Commander of the Indonesian Naval Area (Kodaeral) IV, Rear Admiral of the Indonesian Navy (Laksamana Muda TNI) Berkat Widjanarko, welcomed a courtesy visit from the Chief of the Riau Islands Regional Police (Kapolda Kepri), Inspector General of Police (Irjen Pol) Asep Safrudin, at the Kodaeral IV Headquarters on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
The meeting marked an important moment to strengthen familial ties and reinforce unity between the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) in maintaining security and public order across the Riau Islands region.
The visit by Kapolda Kepri took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Strengthening Security Coordination in Border Areas
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various strategic measures to jointly maintain national stability, particularly in border areas and Indonesian territorial waters.
The Riau Islands hold a highly strategic position due to their direct borders with several neighboring countries and their vast maritime territory. These conditions require strong cooperation among relevant institutions, especially between the Indonesian Navy and the Police, to safeguard territorial sovereignty and provide a sense of security for the community.
Through continuous communication and sustainable cooperation,
Kodaeral IV and the Riau Islands Regional Police (Polda Kepri) are committed to continuing joint efforts to create a secure and stable environment throughout the region.
